Kick-off Meeting
We begin with a conversation, working closely with your team to nail down exactly what the goals are for your logo and visual identity. Our identity questionnaire helps us learn about your business, your audience, and the aesthetic direction you desire.

Sketching & Research
We have an internal process where the staff gets together to review the information gleaned from your team’s questionnaire answers. We collectively sketch numerous concepts, keeping your goals in mind. We critique these sketches and select concepts worthy of exploration.

Computer Design
A lead designer is selected to realize the sketched concepts in a more completed form. The refined concepts go through numerous internal critiques and iterations.

Presentation
We'll reach out to you when our internal critiques and edits have been completed. We only select the strongest solutions, and each choice has the potential to be used as presented. We show 3-5 unique solutions depending on your selected package. These solutions will meet the criteria stated in your identity questionnaire.

Refinement
Based on your team’s feedback from the first presentation, we refine a single direction and present our second round of alterations for more feedback. After this presentation, refinements are typically minimal. Additional revisions are available, but we record time involved for rounds beyond your specified identity package.

Production
After a final design is selected, we simplify the construction of your logo to be compatible for all uses. We specify final color swatches/builds, purchase & license fonts to your business, and create final logo file formats which are transferred to you. Details for use are outlined in your identity guidelines document.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I protect my logo after we've completed? A
Trademark research and filing is not included in our design services. We encourage clients to do their due diligence regarding their business's name before starting the design process. Online services like Trademark Engine can be used to quickly check a name, and if needed we can connect you with a local resource who can fulfill all of the legal tasks needed to protect your name and identifying marks.
What happens if I don't like any of the solutions you've presented? A
We have a great track record meeting or exceeding client expectations during the initial presentation. Our client interview will help set the stage for conceptual and aesthetic direction, but commercial art is subjective and one person’s “success” can be different from another’s. The first round will include a variety of solutions to help narrow a direction. If this initial set does not meet your vision, it still offers great insight into directions you do NOT want to take, and opens up a conversation regarding what needs to be avoided or added in the second round.
How do I use my logo files? A
All of our identity packages include a guidelines document that details the elements that make up your logo. This includes proper color settings, typefaces, spacing, and more. We include file types that are used for professional and internal applications. We are always available to answer questions if/when you’re not sure which file to use.

When working with a print/web vendor, you can always supply the full set of logo files and the they will be able to locate the file they need for your job. You can also have your vendor reach out to us directly if there are questions or problems.

We also include a set of files that's best suited for your internal needs, and work in commonly used programs.
What if I need more variations of my logo? A
We're always available to create alternative orientations of your logo, if/when the scenario arises. You may find that an alternative is needed to fit a specific use. We can tackle your ongoing tasks as separate jobs.
